Changes to the way you label your chemical products are needed due to the recent regulations associated with the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals. Therefore, OSHA has updated the requirements for labeling of hazardous chemicals under its Hazard Communication Standard.
GHS requires manufacturers/importers of chemical substances to adopt the standard by December 2015, in the USA.

In addition, GHS labeling regulations require different minimum label sizes depending on the capacity of the container. Labels must be manufactured from a material that is resistant to the damage caused by exposure to the specific chemical.
